The Company is committed to reducing energy consumption by using energy-saving equipment such as: centralized inverter air conditioning system, plant watering system with reclaimed water, elevator service allocation system, sensor-based lighting equipment, and energy-saving pull switch for lights. Furthermore, energy conservation and carbon reduction awareness is constantly promoted within the organization. The Company adopts paperless processes internally and supports the government’s e-invoice policy as ways to enforce its convictions toward environmental protection and sustainability.

The Company proactively enforces various energy reduction measures, such as selecting high energy-efficiency and energy-saving equipment, reducing consumption of energy by the corporation and the product, and maximizing the use of renewable energy to optimize the energy use efficiency. - Solar power generation systems are set up in the Tainan Science Park Plant and the Tongluo Plant in response to the government’s renewable energy policy.
- Interior remodeling started in 2020; LED lamp holders have been renewed and lights have been replaced by electricity-saving ones on each floor. Up to 72% are completed now and the effort is ongoing.
- Pressurized motors are renewed for all eight floors of the Stage 3 project to maximize the efficacy / energy conservation associated with the ice-making machine, cooling water, and ice water pumps.
- Select appliances such as the ice-making machines, air-conditioners, refrigerators, and water dispensers carrying the national energy conservation symbol to minimize the electricity load.
- Set indoor AC temperature at 27 to 28 degrees.
- Help colleagues form the habit of turning off lights and computers and unplugging them after use and encourage them to take the stairs instead of the elevator.
- Install sun shading curtains to bring down indoor temperature and save AC consumption.

- Change to sensor faucets to reduce the use of water.
- Replace the dosing treatment system for the cooling tower to significantly improve quality of water in the tower, extend the water refilling frequency, and reduce the amount of water to be refilled.
- Add constant pressure valves to inlet pipes of tap water.
- Periodically eliminate obsolete water pipes and inspect the factory end to reduce the leakage rate.
