Mirle's Two-Phase Immersion Cooling Technology

Mirle’s two-phase immersion cooling technology draws on the management and design concept of the unmanned room, combining it with the intelligent transportation system, smart cooling system, and operations control center. This innovative and advanced technology enhances the efficiency, reliability, and intelligent management of data centers.

Technical Features:
(A) Use the intelligent handling system to reduce manual operation risks:
In the immersion cooling system, the servers are completely immersed in the special coolant. Manual operations are not only inefficient but also risky. The intelligent handling system can precisely perform these tasks, reducing the error rate and safety risks of manual operations. In addition to improving O&M efficiency, it also reduces O&M costs. In the long run, automated arms can reduce manual maintenance costs, especially in large data centers that require 24-hour uninterrupted O&M.

(B)Smart Two-Phase Cooling System:
Two-phase immersion liquid cooling is a form of direct liquid cooling. The immersion chamber has a gaseous zone at the top and a liquid zone at the bottom. IT equipment (servers) is fully immersed in a secondary cooling liquid (non-conductive). The liquid coolant absorbs the heat from the IT equipment, boils, and the resulting gaseous coolant, being less dense, rises to the top of the immersion chamber. Here, it exchanges heat with the condenser installed at the top, condenses back into a low-temperature liquid coolant, and returns to the bottom of the chamber by gravity, thus cooling the IT equipment. The smart two-phase cooling system can precisely control the flow and temperature of the primary coolant based on real-time data and demand, ensuring maximum cooling efficiency. This system dynamically adjusts to match the actual heat load of servers or computing hardware, enhancing overall cooling performance. By precisely controlling the coolant supply, the smart two-phase cooling system avoids overcooling and energy waste, achieving higher Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). This not only helps reduce operational costs but also supports green computing and sustainability goals.

Compared to traditional manual replenishment or inspection systems, smart monitoring and alarm functions can proactively provide early warnings, making maintenance work more efficient and preventive. Most importantly, it offers flexibility for future expansion. As the data center or computing needs grow, the smart two-phase cooling system can easily expand or adjust to meet the cooling requirements of larger or higher-performance IT equipment, supporting rapid deployment and flexible adjustments.

(C)Integration with Operations Control Center (OCC):
The Operations Control Center (OCC) can monitor the performance of the two-phase cooling system in real-time, including key indicators such as coolant temperature, flow rate, and system chamber pressure. Through real-time monitoring by the OCC, the cooling system controls can be intelligently adjusted according to the actual operational status of the data center, achieving optimal energy use efficiency (PUE). By combining big data and machine learning technologies, the OCC can analyze the operational data of the cooling system, predict potential failures and performance degradations, and quickly infer necessary measures, ensuring high reliability and achieving predictable and rapid responses.

Technological Innovation and Future Outlook:
Mirle Group continues to innovate two-phase immersion cooling technology in the context of current industrial development. With increasing demands for energy efficiency (PUE) and environmental sustainability in data centers, high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning, the superior cooling efficiency and energy efficiency of two-phase immersion cooling technology are gaining attention.
